My former boss posted the photo below on Facebook. I was working as a preschool teacher back then. Don’t ask me how old I was.

The photo was taken about 10 years ago in Massachusetts, U.S.A. As you can see, I was reading picture books to a group of children in the classroom after their nap time. Reading books to children was one of my favorite things to do at work. Some kids are listening and looking at the book with me, some are flipping pages on their own, and one boy is waiting for his turn to have his book read. What fond memories I have with them with books in our hands!

10 years later . . .

I’m still reading picture books to children, but they are a bit older and . . . they are Japanese students in my English classes at home in Japan.

Time passes and people change, but . . .

This is what I love, and this is my passion.
